Quilting & Textile Practice
My surface pattern practice is rooted in years of hands-on textile making. Through sewing, patchwork, and quilting, I work with fabrics and prints every day, developing a practical understanding of how patterns, scales, colors, and coordinates come together in a finished textile.
This experience shapes the way I design — not only considering how a pattern looks on screen, but how it will work as fabric, how it will interact with other prints, and how it will ultimately be used. I am especially drawn to textiles with an heirloom quality: pieces that feel personal, useful, and made to be lived with.

I enjoy building layered combinations that balance visual interest with harmony, while keeping the final piece both beautiful and functional.
Patchwork bags & Pouches
As the maker behind Stitch & Story by Irina, I work with fabrics and prints every day, transforming them into functional textile pieces. Working with patchwork has taught me to consider how prints behave at different scales, how fabrics interact when placed together, and how a pattern ultimately translates from a flat surface into a three-dimensional, functional object.
Quilted Apparel & Home Textile
Working with quilted apparel and home textiles has given me experience designing with pattern beyond the traditional fabric yardage. I consider scale, placement, color, texture, and how a print will be experienced on a finished piece — whether worn, used, or incorporated into the home.
